Taylor Moore

Probate Paralegal

I'm Taylor Moore, a seasoned probate paralegal with nearly a decade of experience in probate, trust administration, and deed preparation. My journey into the legal realm began after earning a marketing degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from California Baptist University in 2013. Following my passion in the legal field, I furthered my education by obtaining a paralegal certificate from the University of California, Irvine in 2015.

My professional career commenced in a law firm specializing in homeowner associations, but my true calling led me to the intricate world of probate. Leveraging my expertise in probate and trust administration, I collaborate with attorneys to navigate the complexities of estate management. My commitment lies in ensuring the meticulous execution of all legal documents and procedures.

Beyond my technical skill, my reputation is built on efficiency, attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication. I recognize the overwhelming nature of the probate and trust administration process and strive to empower my clients with the guidance and support needed. I am also a Notary Public.

In addition to my role as a paralegal, I've taken on the role of Administrator for probate estates. This hands-on experience allows me to provide valuable assistance to Personal Representatives as they navigate their responsibilities as Administrators or Executors.

For attorneys seeking expert probate assistance, I extend an invitation to collaborate. I would be honored to work with you and your clients, offering the expertise needed to achieve your goals. Please feel free to reach out, and let's discuss how I can contribute to your success.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I find joy in spending quality time with my husband, Aaron, and embracing my role as a mom to three little ones, Ryan, Morgan and Dean.

Our family delights in various activities, including visits to our cherished lake house, adventurous camping trips in our RV, and creating lasting memories during family trips to Utah to visit family.

Probate Estate Administration Services

Serving as the administrator of a probate estate can be overwhelming, especially during a difficult time. When a family member passes away without a will, or when no suitable family member is available or willing to serve, a family nominated administrator is responsible for collecting assets, paying debts, complying with court requirements, and ultimately distributing the estate to the rightful heirs.

At Probates & Moore, we provide experienced probate administration services to help estates move efficiently through the probate process while ensuring compliance with California Probate Code requirements.

Administrator Services Include:

  • Petitioning the court for appointment as Administrator

  • Obtaining and managing estate bank accounts

  • Marshaling and safeguarding estate assets

  • Locating and valuing real property, financial accounts, and personal property

  • Coordinating appraisals with Probate Referees

  • Managing and maintaining estate real property

  • Communicating with heirs, beneficiaries, creditors, and service providers

  • Reviewing and resolving creditor claims

  • Collecting rents and managing estate-owned rental properties

  • Coordinating the sale of real property and personal property when necessary

  • Preparing inventories, accountings, and supporting documentation

  • Working with attorneys, accountants, escrow officers, and financial institutions

  • Facilitating final distribution and closing of the estate

Independent and Neutral Administration

As a professional administrator, we act as a neutral fiduciary whose responsibility is to protect estate assets and carry out the administration in accordance with California law and court orders. Our goal is to provide transparency, organization, and professionalism throughout the administration process while reducing conflict among family members.

When a Third Party Administrator May Be Appropriate

A professional administrator may be beneficial when:

  • Family members cannot agree on who should serve

  • There is conflict among heirs or beneficiaries

  • The estate includes rental property or business interests

  • The nominated executor is unable or unwilling to act

  • The court requires a neutral third party

  • The estate is complex or requires significant administrative work

  • Heirs live out of state or are unable to manage estate affairs

Experience You Can Trust

With extensive experience assisting attorneys, fiduciaries, and families throughout California probate proceedings, Probates & Moore understands the practical and procedural requirements involved in estate administration. We work closely with probate counsel, financial institutions, real estate professionals, and court personnel to help ensure estates are administered efficiently and responsibly.

If you are seeking a neutral probate administrator or would like to discuss whether a neutral fiduciary is appropriate for an estate, contact us to schedule a consultation.
